G4: Naruto or something

The air is crisp as the 48 Genin proceed inside of the Chunin testing facility. They make their way into an empty room with three Jounin standing at the front. "Welcome children! you are here today to be tested as chunin, now before we get down to business, if you fail this first test you will never again be able to become chunin, knowing this are there any of you who wish to drop out?" the one in the center shouts a little too loudly. Though his point made, some of the groups begin murmuring to themselves and begin to step out of the room. Leaving only 36 genin remaining.



The room is barren except for the two doorways, one of which is blocked by a door and the three Jounin standing in front of it.

Describe your teammates if you are alone in your squads, I will do it otherwise, Josh has done it well so do it like he did.

Asahi looks around the room, soaking up the atmosphere. "Finally here, the first leg of the test! Acing this will be nothing, right guys?" He turns to his teammates with his usual expectant attitude.

Yoshizawa Shou glances to his teammates. Thankfully they're both decent ninjutsu users, which makes up for his lack in direct combat. Whether or not that will be useful for this first test, he doesn't know for sure. The fear tactic employed by the Jounin doesn't surprise him and doesn't work very well, not just because he is confident in his abilities, but also because he is well versed in mental warfare. However, becoming unable to achieve Chunin status could seriously hurt his reputation, no matter how strong he gets besides.

Hanako Takeda seemed confident as well. You could easily discern it in her bright green eyes and prepared posture. She stood straight up, gracefully poising her athletic, strong build earned from many days of training. There wasn't a hint of hesitation in her eyes; a natural born leader, she was ready to lead "her" team to victory in these exams.

Yoshizawa himself was trying to lay low during training, so as not to paint a target on his back, so naturally he didn't opt for the leadership role. Nor did Emiri Nagano, a skilled Bukijutsu user. He trained hard too, but he needed his strength to effectively wield his sword, which was a bit larger than usual swords, yet small enough to have its own sheath. His sockets were sunken further than normal, enough so that they cast a shadow over his eyes. At the right angle, you could see he was looking away, with his arms crossed. He didn't speak often, and his expression changed only at the start of battle. He was a force to be reckoned with if you crossed him. Naturally, he didn't take command of the squad... command kind of gently flowed into Hanako's hands. Regardless, he was ready for whatever test lies ahead.

Yuzuki yawns with the Jonin's explanation over. She then proceeds to approach her squad, "So, are you guys ready? How long do you think this exam will take?" She then proceeds to glance over her new allies, looking intently at Hideyori Hora.

"Hopefully not long. I'd rather know sooner than later who the real challenges are." Shikouro responded, in a tone that clearly tried to mask his excitement but failed to do so adequately. He looked forward to seeing everyone's unique powers, hearing their unique goals. These are thirty-six lives that are striving towards something. Thirty-six lives that are meeting in this room to take one, important step forward towards that something they desire.

However, Shikouro still didn't like having Hideyori "The Hideous" Hora on his Team. He respected the guy, but Shikouro just found him as a nuisance.

"Can we just get this over with... Tests are so boring. I'm ready to fight the other Genin here." Saruwatari looks around at the others thinking this might be a little tougher than I thought. Some of these guys seem to be fierce competetors. No matter, my gentle fist technique will crush them.

Lithia watches the genin that chose to drop out as they walk away. I wish I could be one of them. Too bad Yusuke and Tetsuo really want to do this. Ah well, at least this will be a nice change of pace from the usual monotony of my life.

Yusuke grins as she cracks her knuckles, a fire igniting itself in her similarly colored eyes, "Ha! This'll be a piece of cake! These other genin don't look like too much, wouldn't you say, Tetsuo?"

Tetsuo shrugs, "I wouldn't say anything either way. It's amazing to think you can underestimate our opponents this easily. Honestly, I've got a girl that's way too cocky, and a girl that doesn't even want to be here." Tetsuo sighs, "Oh well, I guess it balances out." He says all while his face is hidden behind his long brown hair.

Fusa looks around the room, her eyes flitting from one person to another. "Knowing you, you'll fail it and get us all stuck as Genin forever." Her small, toned frame leaned against the nearest wall. Generally she loathed being pitted against other in tests like these. She was smart, but it made all her hours spent practicing chakra threads feel useless. She was able to use them almost perfectly now, from manipulating and stopping weapons in mid air, to pulling Asahi out of danger, to tripping enemies and sapping chakra from them. None of that would help her here.

"Let's do our best, guys!" Hideyori exclaimed with a heavy lisp to the somewhat quiet team. He eyeballed Yuzuki as best he could. An advantage to having a lazy eye is that sometimes it was hard for others to discern what he was looking at, and so he often eyeballed the girl of his dreams without many people catching on. Other guys used their bangs to hide their eyes while taking in the eye candy, but being bald, he would use what he had.

With a sigh, Shikouro agreed. "All three of us have to be on our A-game in here. We're a team." As much as he hated to say it. Personally, Shikouro approved of Yuzuki. She seemed strong and well spoken. Shikouro only respected Hideyori "The Hideous" Hora though. He was a capable medical-nin for a young age. Nonetheless he was a male, who typically avoid the medic role. He apparently came from a formidable clan of medical-nin, so Shikouro couldn't deny the kid's talent. However, his huge lips, lazy eye, heavy lisp, and over zealous attitude all bothered Shikouro. Oh, and you can't forget that perverted stare he gave Yuzuki.

Nilrem looks around for any one from his old village, "What if that was the test? Seeing if we were brave enough to stay. Or if when we leave the room you pass and the rest of us fail?"

Saruwatari looks around, trying to find someone else from his village. He sees Nilrem and his team. This is it... Just some tall lanky kid...

"Well, I guess that's all who are going to leave. Please make your way into the room behind us." The Jounin says. "By the way, I'm Khou, Khou Imawashi."

As he finsishes the gate behind him begins to open and the genin begin to make their way into the room. Those who enter see the room filled with desks and benches, "Please take a seat in a desk wherever you wish. The first test will begin once everyone has settled in.

There are 40 desks ordered in 8 rows with 5 desks each. the room is spacious enough to allow for movement in between the rows and columns of desks. as well as the benches located along the left and right walls.

"Alright, it's about time we got to a test. Not my style, but it's better now that I know I'm taking the first step. Good luck Nilrem, Fusa, and don't fail or we're coming back next year!" He walks to the 3rd row from the back and gets the 3rd seat in.

Five desks per row... gonna have to bump shoulders with someone from a different squad. Desks, might be a written test... I can keep the desk beside me clear with my jutsu, but the chakra strain might be too great. Ah well, what's wrong with making a few friends?

"Hanako, Emiri, perhaps we should sit close together. Whatever comes next, we'd be best prepared as a group." He approaches the 3rd row from the front (6th from the back) and places his hands on the second seat from the left. "Sit on either sides of me if you like that plan."

Shikouro enters the room, taking it in. He hasn't felt anxious until now, seeing the desks. He whispers reassurances aloud, more to himself than to others. He takes the seat nearest to the door. He sits with his right leg on his seat, its ankle resting beneath his left thigh. This seat makes the test easy to turn in and his exit after the test is done easier. It also makes sure he'll only be next to one person instead of two, since he only knows one person in this room that he wouldn't mind sitting next to.

He reaches over and pats on the desk to his left, giving a charismatic grin and a friendly wink to Yuzuki. "Teammates have to stick together, right?"

When Lithia entered the room, her heart sank a little. Oh no, please don't let this be a written test. She thought to herself before looking at her team members, "You two can sit wherever you like. I'll sit in the back like I always have." Lithia says before seating herself in the farthest row from the instructors, 3rd seat.

Saruwatari sits on the fifth row from the front, two seats from the left, after requesting that his teammates sit on either side of him.

From the center, I can see the room and the tests clearly with my Byakugan. This should give me a significant advantage.

Yuzuki inspects the room steadily, thinking to herself, A test? I'm smart enough to pull that off with flying colors, although I don't really have anything to give me an edge if I get a question I don't know...

Upon hearing her name called she turns to her teammate, and visibly grimaces when asked to sit next to him. "Yeah... the team does have to stick together... Hideyori, why don't you sit next to Shikouro, so that we all stay together and gain control over the corner of the row, so we can all leave if need be." with that, she moves to take the seat behind him.

Shikouro discreetly turns around in his chair to face Yuzuki and blocks his face from viewers to his right with his right hand. Then, he makes a "What smells?" gesture with his left hand and points at Hideyori. Shikouro returns facing forward, sighing.

She knows I didn't want to sit next to him. I know she knows. She will regret this one day. "Hideyori, I hope you don't mind me cheating off your test, teammate." He says with a huge, forced grin and minor chuckle.

"Shh, be serious Shikouro. You better not fail us, my super prestigious family would kill me!" Hideyori says in his heavy lisp as he takes the seat to Shikouro's left.

"Good luck to you too I guess. This is probably some kind of stupid loyalty test to see if we betray our teammates." Nilrem says before going to the far left corner of the room and sits there.

As the Genin begin to take their seats, the Instructors begin to talk, "We will now begin the first test! We are now passing out the written portion of this exam, please no cheating. If you are caught cheating more than twice, your group will be disqualified from the exams."

The room suddenly seems more crowded than it was just a second ago.

Yoshizawa realizes that the crowded feeling is from genjutsu.

Asahi feels like something is wrong.

Asahi takes a glance around the room, but doesn't immediately see anything out of the ordinary. Probably just my imagination... room seems kinda crowded though. Were there this many people before?

Lithia lets out an audible groan and sinks into her seat. Ugh, I knew it. Well, hopefully the questions aren't too hard. And hopefully Yusuke and Tetsuo don't have any trouble either.

Nilrem stretches, but hearing a sigh he says,"Whats wrong? Don't like tests?" Smirking as he finishes.

Lithia gives a short glare to Nilrem, "Yeah, so?"
