Backstory: Axel grew up having a normal life in his hometown of Munich. As was the norm then, the average household had relatively low income thanks to the post WW1 depression. When Axel reached age 13, he thought it would be a good idea and attempt to help his parents make some money by joining a small street gang. They stole, gave information in exchange for money, and occasionally held people up. One day when this gang attempted to steal from a particularly wealthy person's home, they were caught by the owner. The owner grabbed Axel before he could escape, and his so called "friends" left him behind. This was not their first time stealing from this particular person, so he was quite livid when he finally managed to catch one of these kids. Axel hit the man in the stomach, making him loosen his grip, and giving Axel enough time to get away from the man. This only served in making the man even more furious, however.
He went for his pistol as Axel attempted to climb out a window. Axel turned his head at the last second just in time to see the man aiming his gun at him. Out of instinct, Axel raised his hands in order to protect himself. The gunshots went off, but when Axel opened his eyes, he was astonished he hadn't been hit, as was the man. In front of Axel, was a barrier of some kind. Still going on instinct, Axel pulled out his pistol he kept in case of emergencies, and fired straight through his own barrier several times. Three hits successfully landed on the man, ending him. Dropping the gun and regaining his composure, Axel left the estate. After thinking about it for a while, Axel wondered if he could replicate that shield again. He trained for days, which became weeks, turning into months, and eventually years. When Axel reached seventeen years of age, he enlisted in the Wehrmacht(claiming he was 18), wanting to test how strong his barriers really were. He quickly saw the action he wanted, because after only one short year of joining, he was sent to the front lines in Poland. Although the invasion didn't last long thanks to the infamous Blitzkrieg, Axel easily distinguished himself in battle thanks to his powers. After the fall of Warsaw, Axel was instantly promoted to Sergeant by Field Marshall Fedor von Bock. This guaranteed Axel an important role in the war to come, and the ultimate chance to test his powers. Axel holds no love for the Nazis, or even Germany. It could be said his only loyalties lie to himself and that of his own men.

Barrier: Axel is able to manifest a force field with a maximum size of six feet wide and eight feet tall, he is also capable of creating smaller force fields. Axel's barrier is also semi-permeable, allowing him to fire lead projectiles from any firearm while protected by his power. (Breaker 2)
