Relmin slams his staff into Thell's face, sending the cartilage from his nose into his brain, dealing 5 damage and killing him. -1/20

The next battle will commence immediately.

Relmin exits the arena, while his opponents body sinks into the ground, disappearing.

Zumaoriridoka enters the arena, passing relmin on his way out. Wretch hobbles onto the battlefield across from Bruce.

Zumaoriridoka the Monk vs. Wretch the Slave, begins... now!

Hmm...

At a distance, Zumao slowly walks the perimeter of the arena, watching his opponent carefully.

Wretch sits down and stabs his hands into the ground, sinking them into the earth.

Nowhere to run if he attacks from below.

Zumao breaks into a long-strided sprint, lunging at Wretch with his staff.

Zumao's staff strikes the air next to wretch's head, moving his greasy hair with the force.

Wretch continues to sit with his hands in the ground.

I hope he's not preparing for an attack... the longer he stays like that...

Zumao strikes with a long sweeping motion, aiming to break Wretch's arms.

Zumao strikes wretch's left arm breaking it, though he fails to follow through with the swing. Dealing 3 damage. 17/20

Wretch pulls his hands out of the ground, revealing them to be morphed into solid blocks of rock and dirt. He stands up and swings his hammers at Zumao, striking him in the chest dealing 6 damage. 15/20

Agh... ah crap.

Zumao reels from the strike and jumps back. He drops his staff and enters a defensive stance, preparing to counterattack if Wretch should engage.

The rocks and soil on wretch's left arm begin falling off, forming a spike instead of the hammer is was. The material on his left hand completely falls off and he grabs his left bicep and rips off his arm.

Wretch settles into a stance and throws his arm like a javelin towards Zumao, penetrating his left hand, dealing 2 damage. 13/20

Deeming the projectile too heavy to throw back, Zumao instead rushes to his opponent, aiming to strike Wretch's legs from his left side.

Zumao strikes Wrethces legs out from under him, making him fall on his back dealing 10 damage 7/20

Wretch begins to get to his feet but is unable to due to the loss of his arm and the damage to his legs.

Zumao jumps back several yards and squats down. Now for the final attack...

He begins his [Meditation], preparing his [Sure Strike].

Zumao [Meditates] without trouble and his [Sure Strike] is ready.

Mind cleansed, Zumao gets up with a start, a flash of insight in his eyes, and he runs to his supine opponent, spinning and delivering an axe kick to plant his heel into his opponent's face.

Zumao's kick caves in wretches skull, blood splattering everywhere. dealing 8 damage and killing him -1/20

Zumao is victorious.

Zumao is teleported out of the arena as his foe dissolves into the ground.

Annabeth strides into the arena across from her foe.

Annabeth the Rogue vs. Topaz the Witch begins...now!

Annabeth chunks a knife at Topaz while drawing one of her blades.

Annabeth tosses her knife into Topaz's chest, dealing zero damage.

Topaz responds by firing three ice crystals into Annabeth dealing 6 damage 14/20

The fuck?! That hit her right in the chest! Annabeth then move to shadowstep behind Topaz and lacerate her mouth.

Annabeth appears in Topaz's shadow and slashes at her mouth, giving her a Glasgow smile. dealing 4 damage 14/18

Topaz whips around and spits a glob of viscous fluid onto Annabeth's face.

The liquid that Topaz spat onto Annabeth begins dissolving her face, eating through muscle and bone alike, melting her brain and dealing 800 damage 0/18.


NEW BRACKET:

Richtor and Zumaoriridoka step into the arena, though they can see ghostly images of those they have killed in the stands, Caldwell's phantom watches next to Detaz', and Wretch sits alone watching.

Zumao goes first.

Full armor, hard to penetrate considering I don't have a particularly powerful weapon. Normally I would avoid this kind of battle, but I suppose I have no choice.

"Please wait, let an old man rest."

Zumao squats down and begins to [Meditate].

Richtor laughs, "Sorry, but I'm afraid that's just not possible!" He yells before charging at Zumao and using [Plague Strike].

Richtor swings wildly at Zumao, though due to some strange way that Zumao is sitting, the sunlight that is reflected off of the smallest part of him momentarily blinds Richtor and he loses his sense of direction and misses his attack.

Zumao successfully meditates.

Does Wrath favor me this fight?

Zumaoriridoka's eyes open suddenly, a gleam of epiphany burning in his pupils, and he suddenly leaps from his sitting position, crane style, to kick Richtor in the throat.

Richtor attempts to counterattack by swinging his ax at Zumao as he approaches.
